A wonderful family known for their warmth and fun-loving nature are seeking an experienced nanny for their two girls and baby-to-be in January 2026.
They are an active and outdoorsy family who value time spent biking, running, and cooking together. They love music, both listening to live performances and playing instruments at home (piano and guitar). They are looking for a nanny who will become an extension of their family and who sees this as more than just a job, someone who truly loves what they do and is excited to grow with their family over time.
Children:
- Oldest (4.5 years) – Curious, imaginative, and independent. She’s a big helper who loves reading, messy crafts, baking, cleaning, and playing outside. She starts 4K five afternoons a week in the fall and enjoys family dinners outdoors, strider biking, and listening to her CD player.
- Youngest (2 years) – Full of personality, silly and expressive, She adores following in her big sister’s footsteps. She’s opinionated, playful, and thrives in a nurturing, engaging environment.

Pets:
One dog - a loving husky mutt. He’s sensitive to energy, so someone calm and confident is best. Nanny should be comfortable with dogs and willing to take him on walks or let him out on leash as needed.
Role Overview:
To provide warm, dependable, and engaging care for the children while supporting the upkeep of their routines, belongings, and play spaces. The nanny will become an integral and valued part of the family and parenting team.
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
- Extremely dependable and punctual — reliability is essential given both parents are physicians with hospital schedules.
- Warm, loving, and nurturing while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Creative and proactive — comes to work with a plan for the day and embraces messy, sensory-based play (think shaving cream, body painting, crafts).
- Organized and helpful — ideally someone who enjoys creating systems for toys, crafts, and kids’ clothing.
- Comfortable around dogs and children with food allergies.
- Flexible, mature, and invested in fostering a long-term relationship with the family.
Schedule:
The nanny’s schedule is built around mom’s hospital shifts and will be provided a month in advance.
- Start times: As early as 6:15am (typically 7am for day shifts); 1pm for evening shifts
- End times: Typically between 5:30–6pm; occasionally as late as 7–8pm
- Weekend hours: Occasional full or partial weekends when both parents are on-call, or for date nights
- School responsibilities: The oldest will be walked to school (¼ mile away) when needed. The nanny may be asked to handle pick-up as well depending on the schedule.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly rate: $28+/hr
- Guaranteed minimum: 80 hours/month (approx. 20 hours/week)
- Time-and-a-half pay for hours over 40 in a week
- Guaranteed pay
- Benefits include:
- 5 days of PTO of nanny’s choice
- 3 paid sick days
- Additional PTO when the family travels or nanny isn’t needed
- Paid holidays (if they fall on a scheduled workday): Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July
- Mileage reimbursement at IRS rate (70 cents/mile for 2025) or access to family vehicle

The family lives in a walkable West Madison neighborhood with several parks within walking distance and pathways connecting nearby homes. Their house is warm, welcoming, and kid-focused- filled with music, creativity, and the smells of home-cooked meals.
