1. The New Client Form- Starts the process and gives us a clear understanding of your needs.
2. Complimentary Phone Consultation: Once we receive your new client form, we will arrange a phone consultation to discuss your family’s needs and how we can best support you. The search fee will be due following this call to proceed with the process.
3. Family-Agency Zoom Meeting: We take great pride in fostering lasting connections between the families we serve and the nannies we place. A key to this success is the time we dedicate to getting to know both our clients and nannies on a personal level. This meeting will allow us to dive into your family’s core values, culture, and other key details that will shape your family profile and job description. This profile will be used to match you with nannies who are well-suited to your unique needs.
4. Search & Recruitment: At Tailor Made Nannies, we thoroughly evaluate numerous candidates for your position, guiding them through a rigorous interview process and conducting detailed reference checks with their previous childcare employers. From this pool, we carefully select 2-5 top candidates who best meet your family’s unique needs for your review. *Less than 5% of candidates who apply to Tailor Made Nannies make it through our rigorous interview process.
5. Family + Nanny Interviews: This is your opportunity to meet and get to know the candidates. We assist in scheduling interviews and provide you with a list of interview questions to make the process as smooth and convenient as possible.
6. Background Check + Offer Letter: Once you've decided to move forward with a candidate, Tailor Made Nannies conducts a comprehensive background check. This includes a national criminal check, sex offender registry search, social security trace, county court records from past and current residences, a full driving record report, and a national alias search. We also assist in defining the terms of the offer, drafting the offer letter, and facilitating any negotiations between you and the candidate.
7. Hiring: Once the offer is accepted, the placement fee is due to the agency. Tailor Made Nannies will provide a customizable Family + Nanny Agreement template to ensure both parties are set up for success. Additionally, we offer a complimentary consultation with our partners at HomePay to address any questions you may have about nanny taxes and, if desired, assist with setting up payroll. As a Tailor Made Nannies client, your first month with HomePay is free.
8. Long Term Success: Tailor Made Nannies conducts check-ins during your nanny's employment to ensure everything is going smoothly. We're here to offer continuous support and to assist you with any evolving needs that may arise throughout your nanny's employment.
Six Month Grace Period: We strive to foster long-term, successful matches between our families and nannies, but we recognize that unforeseen circumstances can occur. For this reason, we provide a six-month grace period for all long-term placements. If the arrangement doesn't work out within the first six months, we will provide up to two additional candidates at no extra charge.
All placement fees are non-refundable and come with a six-month membership to the Babysitter's Club
A nanny is a dedicated and experienced caregiver that provides personalized and comprehensive childcare within a family's home. A nanny fits seamlessly into your family dynamic and is an extension of your parenting team.
Nannies can be full-time or part-time, and their roles can be customized based on the specific needs and preferences of your family. Part-time: 20-29 hours/week; Full time: 30+/week
Responsibilities are related to the children and their well being: maintaining the child(ren)'s schedule, planning and engaging them in age-appropriate educational + recreational activities to support their development, preparing healthy meals + snacks, children's laundry, household duties related to the children, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. These can be tailored to meet the unique needs of each family and the developmental stages of the children.
A nanny house manager is the perfect caregiver for the busy family requiring assistance in maintaining daily household tasks and childcare. This role combines both childcare and household management, with dedicated time allocated to completing various household tasks.
Each NHM position is tailored to meet the family's specific needs and can include any combination of childcare + household duties.
In addition to the nanny duties listed above, a NHM takes on various household responsibilities. These may encompass tasks such as light housekeeping, running errands, scheduling appointments, handling package shipments, grocery shopping, meal preparation and cooking family meals, overseeing other household staff, and maintaining general household organization.
A family assistant is well-suited for a busy family seeking assistance with day-to-day household tasks and minimal-no childcare duties. The primary responsibilities of a family assistant include overseeing all aspects of the home and ensuring the overall success and efficiency of the entire household.
Each FA position is tailored to meet the family's specific needs.
Duties may include but are not limited to: general household organization, running errands, mailing packages, scheduling appointments, grocery shopping, meal prep + cooking family meals, managing other household staff, household deep cleaning, pet care, house sitting etc.
A nanny share is when one nanny is hired to provide childcare for two families. Typically, the nanny cares for the children at one house, but the days can alternate between houses as well. This type of position is a great opportunity to have a high-quality nanny and split the cost of salary with another family. Families that go in on a nanny share typically live close and have similar work schedules. Nanny shares can be full or part time care.
