Nanny House Manager:Madison, WI (near Regent St.)

An active, kind and nature-loving family of four, based in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking a warm, organized, and adaptable nanny to join their household. 

Both parents have fulfilling careers in the medical and research fields and deeply cherish their family time when away from work. The family enjoys spending time outdoors -canoeing, fishing, cross-country skiing, biking, and gardening. Cooking and woodworking are also favorite pastimes.

The family includes two children, each with unique personalities and interests:

• The son, 10, is a high-energy, adventurous child who loves physical activities like basketball and exploring the neighborhood with friends. He is intellectually curious and thrives in a social environment, often engaging with the local "neighborhood ecosystem" of kids and caregivers.
• The daughter, 7, is a thoughtful and artistic "old soul" who enjoys books and arts +crafts. She manages celiac disease with confidence and follows a gluten-free diet.

The household also includes a sweet elderly beagle mix who enjoys afternoon walks. 

Ideal Nanny Candidate

The family is searching for a nanny who is warm, consistent, and adaptable, with a strong interest in supporting children’s emotional growth and intellectual curiosity. The ideal candidate will:

• Set firm but fair boundaries with logical rules and practical consequences.
• Be creative, even-keeled, and genuinely invested in the children’s well-being.
• Pivot effectively as children’s needs change and support both of their daily routines. 
• Foster social-emotional learning and guide the children through their life skills, from household chores and personal responsibility. 

Household management is an integral part of the role. Responsibilities include kid-oriented laundry, grocery shopping, household organization, light gardening (such as harvesting and washing vegetables), and general tidying. The family values a collaborative relationship with their nanny, working together as a team to create a supportive and nurturing environment.

• Schedule: Monday: 1:30 PM–5:30 PM, Tuesday–Friday: 2 PM–6 PM; 20 guaranteed hours per week
• Compensation: $28–$32/hour based on experience.
