A fun-loving, laid-back, and busy family located on beautiful Lake Mendota is seeking an experienced and kind Nanny House Manager to join their household.
As a family, they love to travel, stay active (skiing, swimming, hiking, you name it!), and spend time in nature. With both parents working as physicians, they are looking for someone self-motivated and confident; someone who can take initiative and truly make this role their own!
This is a full-time position that blends after-school childcare with household support. The ideal candidate will be organized, warm, and engaging, with a natural ability to balance both home management and genuine connection with the children.
About the Children:
- Boy, age 2 – Sweet, energetic, affectionate who loves all things sports!
- Girl, age 4 – Funny, smart, independent. She loves piano and playing soccer.
- Girl, age 7 – Responsible, caring, also loves piano and sports.
All three children love going to school; are active, social, and enjoy swimming, soccer, and other extracurriculars.
Schedule:
- Typical Week: Monday–Friday, 10:00am–6:00pm
- Afternoon Responsibilities:
- School pickups
- Driving to 2–4 weekly activities (Piano, Swimming, Soccer)
- Engaging with children after school
- One Week Per Month:
- Morning school drop-offs (flexibility or split schedule)
- Walking the family’s sweet older black lab (around 11am and 2pm)
- Occasional Weekends: Rare weekend coverage when both parents are on call; advanced notice of at least one month will be provided. This happens maybe a few times per year, if at all.
Open to split schedule if preferred or can provide full-time hours.
House Management Duties:
- Family laundry
- Making beds
- General tidying and organization
- Occasional errands
- Light meal prep (bonus if you enjoy cooking and want to cook a family meal once/twice per week!)
- Encouraging children to participate in clean-up and home responsibilities
- No heavy cleaning required – the family has a regular housecleaning service
Qualities the Family Is Looking For:
- Kind, warm, and experienced with multiple children
- Self-starter who is confident and proactive
- Excited to be a consistent, long-term part of the family's life
- Comfortable with both structure and flexibility
- Values responsibility and encouraging independence in children
- Comfortable managing the home without micromanagement
- COVID-vaccinated
Language Skills (bonus but not required):
- Family would love to find a nanny that is bi-lingual. Spanish is preferred, but open to any Romance language (French, Italian, etc.)
Additional Details:
- Start Date: Ideally the first week of May; flexible through May 15
- Hourly Rate: $29–$32+/hour
- Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
