Nanny House Manager: Near Willy St.!

This warm, professional family lives in the beloved Marquette neighborhood, right in the heart of Madison’s vibrant Willy Street. They are seeking a dependable, engaged Nanny/House Manager to support their busy household and care for their two daughters.

Both parents have demanding, high-intensity careers and deeply value their down-time together as a family. They enjoy exploring new restaurants, spending time with friends, traveling, reading, and retreating to their lake home in central Wisconsin. Their home also includes a sweet Labradoodle and two parrots.

One parent travels frequently for work, and the other often works evenings, making consistent support essential. They value open, direct communication and appreciate someone who can help create a sense of calm and order in a busy household.

• 4-year-old: Bright, energetic, social, and imaginative. Loves music, pretend play, writing letters and numbers, being outdoors, and making people laugh. Attends 4K and has many neighborhood friends.
   
• 9-month-old: A joyful, easygoing baby who smiles constantly and recently began crawling. A true delight!
   

The family is seeking a nanny who can support them on afternoons/weeknights and for 4–6 hours on one weekend day, providing a balance of childcare and household management. The minimum weekly guarantee is 25 hours, with the potential to increase to 30+ hours depending on weekly needs. 

Typical Schedule

• Weeknights (M-Fr): 3–7:30 p.m. (earlier start possible depending on day's duties)
   
• Weekends: 4–6 hours on either Saturday or Sunday (morning or afternoon)
   
• Additional hours available when one parent is traveling

• Optional travel with the family, with additional hours available during trips (including visits to their lake home and occasional longer getaways)

• Assisting with school pick-up and walking the girls home (or driving; weather dependent)
   
• Preparing and cooking dinner about three nights per week
   
• Household management (tidying, errands, general organization, meal prep, etc)
   
• Light pet care for the Labradoodle and basic care for the parrots (cleaning tray bottoms, refreshing food)
   
• Supporting family time by taking the lead on household tasks when parents are home
   
• Occasional date-night coverage

The family is seeking someone who is:

• A self-starter who notices needs and takes initiative
   
• Calm, grounding, loving, and supportive—a steady presence in a busy environment
   
• Comfortable with direct communication and is a direct communicator themselves
   
• Flexible with weekly schedules and responsibilities
   
• Skilled at balancing hands-on help with giving the family space for quality time
   
• Experienced with household management
   
• Comfortable with pets (dog and parrots)
