About the Family
A warm, accomplished, and thoughtful Middleton family is looking for an exceptional Nanny + House Manager to become a trusted, long-term part of their family and parenting team.
Both parents have established professional careers and deeply value having a nanny whom they can trust, respect, and work collaboratively alongside. One parent works in medicine and research and enjoys tennis, yoga, and audiobooks, while the other works in technology and enjoys staying active and reading.
Their home is centered around curiosity, learning, humor, and encouraging their children to explore the things that genuinely interest them. They are hoping to find someone who will not simply supervise their children, but truly engage with them, get to know their individual personalities, and become an important and valued presence in their lives.
Above all, this family views their nanny as an extension of their parenting team. They want this person to feel respected, appreciated, trusted, and valued within their home and are looking for someone who equally values a professional, communicative, and collaborative working relationship.
Meet the Children
Their oldest child is elementary-school-aged and is incredibly bright, curious, sweet, and thoughtful. He loves learning and is an avid reader with a particular interest in math, computers, and creating his own computer games (so cool!).
He also loves music and plays piano. Building, drawing comics, jokes, and all things Mario are some of his favorite things! He has a wonderful sense of humor and would thrive with a nanny who can be playful and silly with him while also taking a genuine interest in the things he loves. He is described as a neat, organized, and truly sweet kid.
Their youngest is a busy 14-month-old entering such a fun stage of toddlerhood! He is standing independently, cruising, beginning to walk, and increasingly interested in exploring everything around him.
He is active, curious, and loves being involved in whatever the adults around him are doing. He especially enjoys “helping” around the house, opening and closing doors, exploring his surroundings, and being read to. At this age, he needs someone who is attentive, safety-conscious, energetic, and comfortable staying one step ahead of a busy toddler.
The family would love for their nanny to incorporate outings such as library and story times, outdoor adventures, and other developmentally appropriate activities into his days.
Their Parenting Philosophy
Mom and Dad take a calm, thoughtful approach to parenting and want their nanny to complement that philosophy.
With their toddler, they utilize redirection and believe in remaining calm while following his interests, encouraging exploration, and creating safe opportunities for him to learn through his environment.
As their children grow, they want to foster their individual interests rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. They value creativity, curiosity, humor, learning, and meaningful engagement.
They have worked with nannies previously and understand the importance of creating a healthy, professional relationship between parents and caregiver.
Their Ideal Nanny
The ideal candidate will be energetic, engaging, dependable, safety-focused, and highly communicative.
With an active toddler in the home, this person should genuinely enjoy being on the move and have the energy to keep up while remaining attentive and present. Safety is incredibly important to the family, and they are looking for someone who is focused, proactive, and comfortable anticipating the needs of young children.
Strong communication is equally important. The parents appreciate someone who communicates openly, is receptive to feedback, and is comfortable working collaboratively as part of a parenting team.
A playful personality and great sense of humor would be a wonderful fit for this family! Their oldest loves jokes, comics, music, building, and creative projects, and they would love someone who can connect with him through those interests.
They are ultimately looking for someone who can balance warmth and playfulness with professionalism, reliability, and maturity.
Punctuality and dependability are especially important. This family views their nanny's position as professional employment and takes their commitments to their nanny seriously. They are looking for someone who approaches the role with that same level of responsibility.
Nanny + House Manager Responsibilities
Childcare will always be the priority, particularly during the hours their toddler is home. In addition to providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care, responsibilities will include assisting with school transportation and logistics for their older child as needed, planning activities and outings, reading and engaging in creative play, and supporting the children's routines and development.
The family would also love someone who enjoys stepping into the household-management side of the role and helping keep family life running smoothly. Responsibilities will include:

The Long-Term Fit
More than anything, this family is hoping to find their person. They are not looking at this as a short-term childcare arrangement. Their hope is to welcome someone into their lives who can remain with their family for the next several years or longer and build meaningful relationships with both children along the way.
They understand how important a nanny becomes within a family and want their nanny to know that their work, time, and role within the home are genuinely valued.
For a professional nanny who loves the energy and curiosity of toddlerhood, enjoys connecting with an intelligent and creative school-aged child, appreciates the variety of a Nanny + House Manager position, and is looking for a family who truly sees their nanny as part of the team, this could be an incredibly special long-term opportunity.
