Nanny: Pope Farm

A warm, welcoming and active family is seeking a kind, reliable, and experienced nanny to care for their sweet baby girl. 

They are located  in West Madison near beautiful walking paths and Pope Farm Conservancy, and they value spending time outdoors, music, and a calm, organized home environment.

The parents have an international background and a love for nature, animals and adventure. They enjoy yoga, hiking, paddleboarding, gardening, and landscaping, and they have spent years living abroad. Their home reflects their appreciation for the outdoors + music and includes plenty of plants, a baby grand piano, and two beloved cats who are part of the family!

Their infant is an easy-going, talkative baby with the sweetest little singing voice. She experienced a single seizure post-birth but has been doing wonderfully since. She does physiotherapy exercises and is working on bottle feeding. 

Mom and Dad view the nanny as an integral part of their parenting team and hope to find someone who will partner with them to nurture, guide, and support their child’s growth.

Ideal Candidate
The family is looking for a nanny who is:

• Positive, present, and engaged during play and care
   
• Hygienic, clean, and organized
   
• Reliable, punctual, and a good communicator
   
• Comfortable providing updates via text or Huckleberry app
   
• Willing to follow directions for physiotherapy exercises and routines
   
• Infant-experienced (education or medical background a plus)
   
• Comfortable with cats and able to provide occasional pet sitting when family is on vacation (full, weekly guaranteed pay will be provided)
   
• Happy to get outside for walks and, as baby grows, provide safe transportation to other enriching activities
   
• Calm and kind, creating a peaceful home atmosphere
   
• Comfortable watering plants and helping maintain an organized environment
  

Position Details

• Start Date: October 13 or October 20
   
• Schedule:
   
  • Monday–Thursday: 7:15 AM–5:30 PM
     
  • Friday: Flexible, typically 3–4 morning hours (paid overtime)
     
• Contract: 9 months (through June 2026) with the potential to extend another year
   
• Hourly Rate: $25–$30/hour BOE

Additional Duties
The nanny will handle all tasks related to the infant's care, including:

• Maintaining and keeping her nursery organized
   
• Washing + putting away laundry; washing + changing bed linens as needed
   
• Tidying play areas and shared spaces
   
• Preparing and sanitizing bottles
   
• Making baby food when appropriate
   
• Monitoring and restocking supplies

This role is perfect for a nurturing, detail-oriented nanny who loves spending time outdoors, appreciates music, and is deeply passionate about fostering a baby’s growth and development. You’ll be joining a family who truly values their nanny and ensures they feel supported. Bonus points if you like to play piano :) 

Additional Notes: 

Starting next winter, the father may occasionally work from home in a dedicated basement office, separate from the main living areas. 

The family travels periodically to visit relatives abroad and provides full pay for pet care during those times.

The family uses a cleaning service every other Friday, so no heavy housework is needed.

Up-to-date vaccinations are preferred but not required.
