Infant Nanny: Madison, WI (Lake Mendota)

A thoughtful, creative, and down-to-earth family is seeking a nurturing and confident nanny to support them during an especially meaningful season as first-time parents.

Both parents are professionals, with mom teaching at UW and Dad in film/screenwriting. They value curiosity, the arts, and a rich, engaged life both at home and in the community. 

They have built a life centered around connection, creativity, and the outdoors. They live on the water and love paddle boarding, boating, kayaking, walking and running together, cheering on the Brewers, and enjoying plays, concerts, live comedy, and exploring new places. Travel is an important part of their lives, and occasional family travel is part of the rhythm of the year.

They recently welcomed their baby girl, a joyful and easygoing infant who is bringing such light to their lives. 

This family is seeking a nanny who truly loves infants and has a strong understanding of early childhood development. The ideal candidate is confident, calm, and capable of independently managing the baby’s day: supporting milestones, following cues, and creating a gentle, engaging rhythm.

The parents are not micromanagers and are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day with ease and intention: getting down on the floor to play, heading outside for walks, using the carrier, and making the baby a part of daily life. They value a nanny with a soft voice, a warm presence, and a genuine love for children; someone who simply adores this stage of life.

While both parents work from home, they are respectful of boundaries and trust their baby is in the best of hands. Open communication is important to them; they appreciate thoughtful updates and collaboration, especially as first-time parents who want to feel connected to their baby’s day.

• M-Fr:   7.5 hours across 4 days or 6 hours across 5 days
   
• Example: M-Th: 7:30/8:00 AM to 3/3:30 PM or M-Fr: 8am-2pm
   

This role focuses solely on infant-related care. There are no pets in the home.

This family is excited for their nanny to get out and about with their baby; attending music classes, library time, zoo outings, neighborhood walks, and engaging experiences that support development and curiosity. They value flexibility, the ability to “roll with the day,” and a nanny who feels comfortable navigating natural transitions when parents pop in and out while working from home. They view this as a true partnership and deeply value and respect their nanny. 

• $27-30/hr

• Guaranteed weekly hours: 30 hours per week
   
• Paid time off (including one week PTO of nanny's choosing and additional vacation aligned with family travel) *option to travel with family
   
• 5 paid sick days + standard federal holidays as paid days off
