Long-Term Nanny/Office Assistant: Middleton, WI

Long-Term Nanny & Family Office Assistant

Location: Middleton, WI / Near West Side Madison
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule Options:

  • Full-Time: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM | 45 hours/week
  • Afternoon Nanny: Monday–Friday, approximately 2:00–6:00 PM

A wonderful family is seeking a long-term childcare professional to join their family. They are open to finding the right person for either of two schedules, depending on a candidate's experience, interests, and availability.

OPTION 1: Full-Time Family & Office Assistant / Nanny

For the right candidate, the family would love to create a unique hybrid position that combines office administration with afternoon childcare.

9:00 AM–2:00 PM | Family Business Office — Near West Side Madison

During school hours, the nanny would work at the family's small business office, providing light administrative and organizational support. Responsibilities may include:

  • Keeping the office organized and running smoothly
  • Organizing materials and supplies and restocking as needed
  • Ordering break room snacks, beverages, and office staples
  • Providing light administrative support
  • Assisting with organization and family logistics as needed

2:00 PM–6:00 PM | Nanny — Family Residence in Middleton

The afternoon transitions into a dedicated childcare role with the family's three children, ages 10, 6, and 3. Responsibilities include:

  • Picking up the 6- and 10-year-olds from school
  • Transporting children to activities in the family vehicle
  • Helping with homework, reading, outdoor play, and enrichment
  • Picking up the 3-year-old later in the afternoon
  • Preparing snacks and helping with evening transitions
  • Keeping play areas and children's belongings tidy
  • Supporting school, extracurricular, and family logistics

Full-Time Compensation: ~$60,000 annually with guaranteed hours, plus full benefits.

OPTION 2: Afternoon Nanny

The family is also open to finding a dedicated afternoon nanny who would join them Monday–Friday beginning around 2:00 PM-6:00PM.

This position would focus exclusively on the children and their afternoon routines, including school pickup, transportation to activities, homework, outdoor play, reading, enrichment, snacks, and helping the children transition into their evening routines.

This would be an excellent opportunity for a nanny who is specifically looking for a consistent, Monday–Friday afternoon schedule and wants to build a meaningful, long-term relationship with a family.

About the Family

The family has three children, ages 10, 6, and 3, and values safety, consistency, healthy routines, learning, kindness, and open communication.

They are looking for someone who will become a trusted, long-term partner in their family's life, rather than someone who is simply looking for a short-term position. The ideal candidate will be warm and engaging with the children while also being responsible, organized, proactive, and dependable.

The family has existing household support, so this is not a housekeeping position. Light tidying and organization related to the children is expected, but there is no deep cleaning or laundry required.

The Ideal Candidate

The family is looking for someone who is:

  • Warm, nurturing, and genuinely enjoys working with children
  • Reliable, responsible, and highly organized
  • Patient and positive
  • A strong communicator
  • Comfortable with structure and consistency
  • Proactive and able to anticipate the family's needs
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Interested in developing a genuine, long-term partnership with the family
  • Experienced working with school-aged children and toddlers

For the full-time position, administrative or office experience is a plus, but the family is ultimately looking for someone who is a wonderful fit for both their business and their children.

Requirements

  • Previous professional childcare experience strongly preferred
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Comfortable safely transporting children
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Comfortable working with children ages 3–10

Benefits — Full-Time Position

  • $60,000 annual salary
  • 40-45 guaranteed hours/week
  • 3 weeks PTO
  • 9 paid holidays
  • Health insurance stipend (afternoon positions) or health insurance (Full Time)
  • Retirement eligibility after one year
  • Potential annual compensation increases based on performance and tenure
  • Family vehicle provided for transportation of the children during working hours

A Wonderful Long-Term Opportunity

Whether you're looking for a full-time position that combines office administration and childcare or a consistent afternoon nanny role, this family is hoping to find the right person who is interested in growing with them for the long term.

They are excited to welcome someone who will become a trusted and valued part of their family's support system and are looking to begin the search immediately.
