Infant Nanny House Manager: Middleton, WI

An active, outdoors-loving family is seeking a thoughtful, energetic Nanny House Manager to grow with them long-term. 

Both parents have demanding professional careers and value a home environment that feels grounded, organized, and nurturing. They are a very active family who spends as much time outdoors as possible: biking around Lake Mendota, paddleboarding, swimming, hiking, car camping, backpacking, skiing, fishing, and exploring the outdoors with their children.

The family consists of two wonderful children (3 years old, 3 months old): The three year old is bright, observant, and incredibly smart. He is active and curious, loves biking and hockey, and thrives with patience and understanding. He takes his time warming up to new people and activities but connects quickly once trust is established. He attends preschool and has a structured afternoon routine that includes activities that an afternoon nanny takes him to.

The nanny will primarily be with the baby during the day.  She is so sweet and getting lots of love from big brother! Sleep schedules are still evolving, and the family is looking for a caregiver who can gently support transitions as routines develop.
 

During the school year, the role will primarily focus on the infant while supporting the older child as needed. In the summer months, care may transition to include both children more fully.

This position will begin as a child-focused infant nanny role and naturally grow into a Nanny House Manager position over time. The family is seeking someone who can “see the need and take care of it,” supporting the household as a whole while always keeping the children at the center of the role.

Responsibilities will gradually expand to include household management tasks related to the children and daily family flow. A weekly meal service is already in place so no cooking is needed. The nanny should feel comfortable working alongside other household support.

The family follows a Montessori-inspired approach (without rigid structure), placing a strong emphasis on fostering independence, confidence, and curiosity. They believe in clear, loving boundaries and appreciate caregivers who can work in harmony with their parenting philosophy while bringing confidence and professionalism to their role. Screen time is very limited and primarily reserved for travel or illness.

The home is warm, active, and well-resourced for children. A park is located directly across the street, and the family holds a membership to a local gym with excellent child-friendly amenities. Grandparents spend time in the home during the summers and offer additional support. The household is organized and  busy, and the family deeply values initiative and proactive support.

The family is seeking a Nanny House Manager who is:

• Comfortable growing into the house manager role over time, with the experience and skill set to take initiative and manage responsibilities independently without the need for micromanagement.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 6:30 AM–2:30 PM (some flexibility available)
   
• Hours: 40 hours per week
   
• Pay Range: $27–$30/hour, depending on experience
   
• Benefits: Full industry-standard benefits, including PTO, PTO when family travels, 5 sick days, paid standard federal holidays, guaranteed hours, gym membership to Harbor Athletic Club, and a health insurance stipend based on the nanny’s needs
   

• Driving will be done with the family vehicle
   
• Family lives on the lake and is seeking a nanny that is comfortable and confident around water
   
• General childhood immunizations should be up to date
   
• Start date is flexible, ideally between early February and early March
   
• The family hopes to grow with the nanny for years to come! 

• An 8-month-old black lab puppy who is gentle, playful, and wonderful with the children
   
• A 6-month-old kitten who gets along well with the dog
   

A dog walker currently assists daily, with the opportunity for the Nanny House Manager to gradually take on light pet-related tasks if desired.
