A warm and active family in Madison’s charming Monroe Street area is seeking a caring and committed nanny to join their parenting team.
Both parents are physicians and are seeking a nanny who is dependable, engaged, and passionate about early childhood development to help care for their daughter starting in late May or early June.

The parents are a dynamic and adventurous couple who enjoy balancing their demanding careers with an active lifestyle and meaningful family time. They are excited to be welcoming their daughter in February!
Mom and Dad share a love of running, swimming, cross-country skiing, hiking, and biking. They often engage in these activities together and enjoy spending time outdoors, dining with friends, and exploring locally. Fun fact: Dad has a love for flying & has his pilot license.
Ideal Nanny
The family is seeking a nanny who:
- Is Caring and Reliable: A nanny who will care for their daughter as lovingly as they would, with reliability, punctuality, and flexibility being essential due to the parents’ demanding hospital schedules.
- Is Invested in Early Learning: The family values education and hopes to find a nanny who shares their commitment to supporting their daughter’s development. This includes engaging her in age-appropriate activities, encouraging gross and fine motor skills, reading, and consistent interaction to foster growth.
- Is Active and Engaging: Someone who loves being outdoors and will actively take their daughter on adventures, such as walks, visits to the library, and local explorations.
- Is Communicative: They value a strong relationship with their nanny, with regular communication and updates about their daughter’s day, including photos and highlights of the day.
Primary Duties
- Providing attentive, engaging care for their daughter, ensuring her health, safety, and developmental needs are met.
- Supporting early learning through reading, talking, and age-appropriate activities.
- Taking the baby on outings to foster exploration and learning (e.g., library visits, music class, walks, etc.).
- Assisting with baby related light housekeeping and daily upkeep to keep the home tidy and organized.
Schedule & Compensation
- Core Schedule:
- Monday through Friday: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM (with flexibility for a 7:00 AM start most days).
- The schedule will be provided one month in advance.
- Hours:
- Guaranteed 45 hours per week, with the potential for up to 50 hours based on the family’s needs. Over-time paid when applicable.
- Compensation: $24–$26/hour, based on experience.
- Benefits:
- 5 days of PTO of the nanny’s choosing, with at least 2 additional weeks to align with the family’s vacation.
- 5 paid sick days as needed.

- Mileage reimbursement.
- Health insurance stipend based on the nanny’s needs
Additional Notes
- Covid-19 Precautions: The family requires a Covid-vaccinated nanny.
- Travel: Occasional opportunities for travel with the family may arise.
- Pets:The family has two sweet Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers that are also an important part of the family. They have a dog walker that comes regularly.
- Allergies/Diet Restrictions: No allergies, but maintaining a gluten-free kitchen is important due to celiac disease in the home.
