Full Time Nanny: Sun Prairie, WI

A wonderful, kind, down-to-earth family is seeking a nurturing, confident, and engaging nanny to become a valued part of their children’s lives. 

Both parents are deeply committed to being present, hands-on, and intentional in their parenting. With demanding careers, they deeply value connection, and quality time together. They enjoy biking the Monona Lake loop, cooking together while learning new techniques, and exploring Madison as a family - parks, restaurants, museums, and outdoor spaces are a regular part of their routine. 

Their home is intentionally kid-friendly and creative. There are multiple play areas, an art table with an easel, musical instruments for  jam sessions, and a backyard play-set. Messes are welcomed as part of learning and creativity, and the family is happy to provide materials and resources to support fun, enriching activities. The environment is relaxed, supportive, and encourages imagination and exploration.

The 11 month old is a truly joyful, easygoing baby with a big smile who loves peek-a-boo, blueberries, and exploring solid foods. She follows a predictable two-nap schedule and is a great sleeper!
 

Role + Ideal Candidate 

The nanny’s primary focus will be caring for and engaging the children through meaningful, hands-on interaction. This includes planning and participating in enriching activities, supporting learning through play and exploration, enjoying outings and time outdoors, and maintaining consistent daily routines. The family values an active caregiver who is comfortable getting on the floor to play, creating fun and developmentally appropriate experiences, and making use of nearby community resources, including a downtown museum membership.

The ideal candidate brings an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented approach, along with a calm and confident presence in the home. They are playful and energetic, yet grounded - able to follow the children’s cues while also providing structure, consistency, and clear expectations. Aligned with gentle parenting and positive reinforcement, the nanny should feel comfortable setting firm, loving boundaries and supporting the children’s emotional growth with patience and intention.

As this family does not have nearby family support, they will rely solely on their nanny for consistency, dependability, and day-to-day stability, making reliability and long-term commitment especially important. The ideal candidate is excited to support learning through play, exploration, and meaningful engagement, and to become a trusted and integral part of the family’s village.
 

Bonus (but not required): a second language or musical ability!

Schedule: M, W, F: 7am-5pm with flexibility for an 8am-4pm schedule and flexing 3-4 hours on an additional afternoon/evening. 

• Hourly rate: $25–27/hour (based on experience)
