Tailor Made Nannies

Full Time Toddler + Infant Nanny: Madison, WI

A professional, warm and fun-loving family in Madison, WI is seeking an experienced and dedicated nanny to join their household.

With their second baby arriving in May and their two-year-old daughter entering preschool in the fall, they are excited to find someone who will become an integral and long-term part of their home.

Both parents are physicians in demanding specialties and in their downtime, they enjoy low-key activities like long walks with their daughter and dogs, gardening, baking, grilling out, and spending time together as a family. They truly value their time at home and prioritize a calm, nurturing environment.

About the Children:

Their two-year-old daughter is a sweet, funny, and strong-willed toddler who adores books, cuddles, and time outside.  She thrives with a calm and consistent approach, gentle redirection, and lots of love and laughter.

Baby number two is expected in May! The nanny will be responsible for both children during the summer months, and once the toddler begins preschool in the fall, the role will focus primarily on the infant with drop-off/pick-up duties for the preschooler and after-school care.

What They’re Looking For:

The family is seeking a warm, loving, and highly engaged nanny who can be an extension of their parenting. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education or child development and will be someone who genuinely delights in nurturing and guiding children. They would love someone who brings creativity, a calm and go-with-the-flow energy, and who is proactive in organizing age-appropriate developmental activities (indoor and outdoor). A nanny who is present and focused, without screen distractions, is a must.

Due to the demanding careers the parents hold, they 100% rely on the nanny to maintain their children's days. Someone who is incredibly reliable, punctual, and does not need to be micro-managed would be the perfect fit for this family!

They are also looking for someone who is comfortable around dogs (they have two very loving and energetic pups) and can manage the light chaos that comes with pets and children under one roof. Having prior experience with dogs is a must.

Duties Include:

  • Full care of toddler and infant

  • School drop-off and pick-up for preschool

  • Light household tidying related to the children

  • Prepping and occasionally cooking healthy meals for the family (bonus if you love to cook!)

  • Managing the dogs during the day (they let themselves out, but the nanny will be expected to retrieve toys/snacks they sneak)

  • Planning outings to parks, libraries, music/art classes, and other enriching activities

  • Maintaining a screen-free, fully engaged environment

  • Proactive communication with parents about the children’s development, needs, and ideas for enrichment

Schedule:

Core hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30am–5:30pm, with flexibility built around mom’s rotating hospital schedule. Some weeks may be heavier, followed by lighter/flexible weeks.
Up to 6 weekend days per year may be requested with 3 months' advanced notice (typically when both parents are on call).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $25–$30/hour (plus overtime)

  • 5 days PTO of nanny’s choosing

  • Additional PTO during family vacations (minimum 2 weeks per year)

  • 5 sick days

  • Paid federal holidays

  • Mileage reimbursement at standard IRS rate

  • Option for health insurance stipend based on Nanny's needs

Additional Notes:

  • The family values organic, fresh, and homemade food - limited sugar, sodium, and processed snacks

  • No screen time is used in the home, and this is a deeply important value for the family

  • Their neighborhood is walkable, safe, and full of parks and trails

  • Seasonal flu shots and up-to-date covid + tDap is preferred

This is a truly special opportunity for a nanny who wants to become part of a loving, thoughtful, and engaged family team. They are ready to welcome someone who sees this as more than just a job and understands the lifelong impact a caregiver can have on a child’s early years.
