Full Time Nanny: Near Willy St Co-op

A warm, active, and welcoming family that lives on the Isthmus is seeking a Nanny House Manager to join them in caring for their sweet baby boy and supporting their home.

The family lives near the vibrant Willy Street Co-op neighborhood and embraces an active, playful lifestyle. They love biking, cooking together, exploring new restaurants, playing board games, traveling, and having family dance parties in the kitchen!

Their sweet 7.5-month-old son is a cheerful, easygoing baby with a curious and independent spirit. He sleeps well, loves trying new foods, and is busy learning to sit up. Mom and Dad are looking for a nanny who will nurture his development by creating an enriching and adventurous environment by reading lots of books, spending time outdoors, and encouraging his growth through play, discovery, and exploration.

The Ideal Candidate

The family is looking for a warm, sweet, and engaging nanny who can focus fully on their son. Strong communication skills, initiative, and an easygoing demeanor are key, along with the ability to set loving but firm boundaries when needed. They hope for a collaborative, team-minded nanny who is eager to bring their own ideas to the table and support the family in meaningful ways.

House Management Support

While childcare is the top priority, the family is looking for a true Nanny House Manager who can take tasks off their plates so they can focus on family time. Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Household tasks: family laundry, dishwasher loading/unloading, tidying/wiping down dining and common areas, light resets (vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, no deep cleaning required)

  • Meal prep support: pre-chopping for dinners, preparing slow cooker meals, helping with baby purees, and maintaining a freezer inventory of family/baby meals

  • Errands: grocery shopping (often walking to the Co-op), returns, and keeping household essentials stocked

  • Pet care: cleaning water bubbler

  • House maintenance: scheduling service calls and being present in the home as needed

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys taking initiative, noticing details, and looking for ways to ease the mental load for parents while maintaining a supportive, collaborative relationship.

Schedule + Compensation

  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday 9am–5pm, Friday 9am–1pm (family is flexible for a 40 hour work week)

  • Hours: Guaranteed 36 hours per week (with potential for up to 40)

  • Compensation: $27–29+/hour depending on experience

  • Benefits: Health insurance stipend (based on nanny’s needs), 5 PTO days of nanny’s choice, additional PTO when family takes vacation (one week extra at minimum), 5 sick days annually, use of family vehicle for work-related driving or mileage reimbursement, paid holidays

Additional Notes:

  • Candidates must be up to date on routine vaccinations (annual flu + COVID, MMR)

  • Family appreciates Montessori-inspired approaches, and respectful parenting philosophies

  • Family has two beloved cats, who are very much part of the family, They are teaching their little one to be gentle and respectful with animals and hope their nanny will help reinforce these lessons.

Start Date: End of September, Early October

This is a truly special opportunity for a nanny house manager who thrives in a collaborative environment, loves the balance of childcare and household support, and is excited to be part of a joyful, active family’s daily rhythm.
