Nanny House Manager / Family Assistant – Middleton, WI

A warm and creative family in Middleton is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and emotionally intelligent Nanny House Manager / Family Assistant to join their home and become a true partner in supporting their family. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who finds purpose in creating calm, connection, and stability within a household.

The family is looking for someone who naturally brings a grounded, peaceful presence and can step into the day-to-day rhythm of the home with flexibility, confidence, and care. The ideal candidate is patient, nurturing, organized, and understands that the most important work often happens in the small moments — preparing a meal together, helping a child feel seen, creating a sense of routine, or bringing warmth into the home.

This family has three wonderful boys who each have their own unique personalities, strengths, and needs:

  • Teenager (14): A thoughtful, funny, empathetic young man who enjoys weather, science, and spending time learning about the world around him. He benefits from patience, consistency, and a caregiver who understands that building trust and connection happens over time.
  • Pre-teen (12): A kind and thoughtful child who is working on building confidence and navigating new experiences. He benefits from a caregiver who is warm, encouraging, and able to support him with patience and understanding as he continues to grow.
  • Younger child (6): A social, energetic, and joyful child who loves connecting with others, animals, swimming, and exploring new interests. He thrives with a caregiver who can embrace his enthusiasm while helping guide routines and activities.

The two older children are on the autism spectrum, and experience supporting children with diverse needs is a major bonus for this family. They are looking for someone who is patient, observant, and understands the importance of meeting each child where they are. A caregiver who values individualized support, clear communication, and building trust over time will thrive in this role.

This family values a child-centered approach to caregiving. They believe children should be treated with respect, included in conversations about their lives, and supported in developing independence and confidence. Their ideal caregiver sees the whole child and focuses on connection, life skills, creativity, and meaningful experiences.

The right person for this role will be a true partner to Mom— someone who can collaborate, offer ideas, and bring a calm, capable presence to the home. She appreciates someone who is open-minded, non-judgmental, emotionally steady, and comfortable adapting as needs shift throughout the day.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Providing thoughtful, engaging care for three children during the summer months and school year.
  • Supporting school transportation and activities
  • Helping create daily structure, routines, and positive experiences
  • Preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the family
  • Cooking and baking with intention (this family loves a slow, homemade approach!)
  • Helping with household organization and family assistant responsibilities
  • Managing household rhythms, errands, and tasks that help the home run smoothly
  • Supporting travel and vacation logistics when needed
  • Being flexible and willing to shift between childcare and household support depending on the family’s needs

This home appreciates someone who enjoys the beauty of everyday moments — whether that means taking extra time making banana bread, encouraging creativity, helping a child explore a new interest, or simply creating a peaceful environment where everyone feels cared for.

The family describes their parenting philosophy as intentional, connection-focused, and centered around raising kind, thoughtful humans. They are hoping to find someone who shares this outlook and wants to become a trusted, long-term part of their family’s journey.

Schedule: 8am-4pm with flexibility
Compensation: $30–$32/hour depending on experience
Location: Middleton, WI
Start: As soon as possible

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is looking for a meaningful role where they can make a lasting impact and truly become an anchor within a family home.
